The Prince Albert - This Saturday Reminder!

Hello friends of the Dagger!

We're just dropping you a reminder to let you know that our second stint at the wonderful Prince Albert public house is this Saturday, an excellent place to spend your night indeed.

In other news, we have a club night coming up at The Ocean Rooms on Friday 17th April, which is also the first of many we are hosting at this great venue in Brighton. We will have a couple live bands on to get you warmed up, and then it's over to the DJ's to keep you dancing and entertained all night over 2 floors! Guest DJ's will be on board as well as your beloved Dollydagger girls. More info will be available within the next couple of days....so stay tuned.

In the meantime, smile at a stranger, and we'll see you on Saturday!

Dollydagger at The Prince Albert - The report back!

As predicted, we had an amazing time Saturday gone (Feb 7th) at The Prince Albert in Brighton! We played 5 hours worth of our very favourite tunes, and it was an eclectic mix indeed enjoyed by all! We are so happy with how the night went we can't wait to get back there next month! The bar staff were majestic beings that looked after us well and worked very hard all night. We love you and salute you.

So don't miss the next slot! We'll be back at The Prince Albert Saturday, 7th March.

See you there! xx

Jukebox Show and Retro Fair at Brighton Racecourse

Hello lovelies,

I hope you're all enjoying the snow, or what's left of it.  I'd like to say that I went to the trouble of making a snowman, but sadly i preferred to snuggle up on the sofa with a hot chocolate and a toasted teacake!

For those of you who are in Brighton, or fancy a visit down here I wanted to tell you about the Jukebox Show & Retro Fair that's on at Brighton Racecourse in a couple of weeks. It's full of really amazing stuff, like retro furniture, jukeboxes, clothes and records. You can even pick yourself up a neon sign or do a spot of Jive dancing if you're feeling energetic!

We're going along on the Saturday, so we'll see you there!

Blonde Redhead Supporting Interpol

I went to see Interpol at Alexandra Palace in London last night. It's not my favourite venue but Interpol are the best band in the world, so it was worth it! I won't review the gig because it's impossible for me to be objective about Interpol - I love them far too much and my review would definitely be rubbish (and probably slightly embarassing!) But I was totally blown away by the support band Blonde Redhead and thought it definitely worth a mention today. New York Trio Blonde Redhead are difficult to describe, so I won't try, but if you like Interpol and Arcade Fire, the chances are you'll probably like them.

Enough of my waffling - check out their website here

You can see the first video for the title track of Blonde Redhead's new album, '23' here - it's amazing!
